⚠️ This article is not for Cubbit DS3 users. It is for private Cubbit Cell and/or Cubbit Cloud users.
Now that you have your Cubbit Cell, the first step is to connect it to the internet using a direct connection to your router. Keep in mind: the Cell must be plugged directly into the router, do not use a switch or pass-through.
Step 1: In the box you will find a power cable for the Cubbit Cell. The first step is to plug the power cable into the round power input on the Cell (as seen on the image below) and the other end into a power outlet close to your router. You will see the LED on top of the Cell blink and light up momentarily and then go off - this is normal.
Step 2: Also inside the box, you will find an Ethernet cable (like the one seen below). This Ethernet cable will be used to connect the Cell directly to your router.
Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the square input (as seen in the image below) on the Cubbit Cell.
Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into your router, using an available LAN port (sometimes numbered) - not the WAN port. The input on your router will resemble the input seen in the image below!
Step 3: Claim your Cubbit Cell using these steps to have access to your storage space and join the Swarm!
