Is it possible to use Cubbit with a command-line interface (CLI)?
Cubbit does not support CLI or other methods of entering the Swarm. The apps (Desktop and Web) are the only portals presently where a user can interact with the Swarm, so as to abide by our security and redundancy policies. It is possible in the future that there will be other ways to upload/download from a user account.
To have a backup of my device saved on Cubbit, can I create the backup using a software and then choose the local Cubbit folder as a location for the backup to be saved?
If you can create a folder or file as output of your backup, you can then save it to Cubbit using the desktop app (or web app, depending on how big it is).
To avoid any possible sync issue we recommend creating your backup with your Desktop App closed.
Can I back up my Google Drive files and folders on Cubbit?
Depending on how big the all files you have on Google Drive, it is always better to proceed to copy in batches, for a better stability of Cubbit sync process.
Can I use Cubbit to backup the WhatsApp’s messages, photos, videos & etc?
At the moment, we do not integrate with any third-party apps for automatic backup. With Cubbit you can backup photos, videos and files, but you would need to upload them manually via mobile.
Can the Cubbit Cell be used as an Apple Time Machine backup destination?
MacOS uses a very specific way to link files together that makes it less straightforward - we do not have a specific integration with Time Machine right now, but further integrations are always something we are considering.
