- Password protecting Cubbit folder
- Users limits when sharing a folder
- Storage limits when sharing with free users
- Running an executable inside Cubbit folder
What if I add a password to the Cubbit Folder?
If the local Cubbit folder is locked on the local machine and blocked by a password (which can be done using several methods depending on the OS) there is no guarantee it would work. In fact the application would struggle to or be completely incapable of accessing the folder making it impossible to sync and update the files/folders inside.
Is there a limit in terms of people I can share a folder with?
There is no limit.
If I share a folder with other free users, what are the storage limits for upload and download files for them?
Free users have 1 GB limit at the moment, so if they receive a shared folder that is bigger than their available space they won't be able to download it.
Is it possible to save a folder and then run a desktop application from it?
If you try to place and use an executable inside the Cubbit folder this might not work for several reasons. Launching software applications from the Cubbit folder may lead to several issues. Depending on the software it may interfere with the sync process, that is why we do not recommend it.
